AK is a British–Catalan architecture and interior design studio based in Barcelona

We work closely with our clients from the first idea to the final detail, adapting our role to each project. We speak English, Spanish, Catalan and French, and work with clients both locally and internationally.

Renovation and Restoration

We manage renovations from concept to completion, balancing the character of the existing space with the way you want to live or work in it. We focus on improving comfort, functionality and efficiency while keeping the process clear, well organised and within budget.

Interior Design

We design and select furniture and details that make a space feel personal and considered. From kitchens, bathrooms and built-ins to lighting, furniture and finishing touches, we combine practicality with character.

Design Consulting

Sometimes you need a complete project; sometimes you just need the right advice. We can help with layouts, design ideas, materials, colours and finishes, giving you a clear direction that works for your space and your budget.

Feasibility Studies

Thinking of buying a property or unsure about its potential? We assess the space, its condition and the possibilities for renovation, helping you understand what can be done before you make a commitment.

Our Approach

Every project is different, but our process is straightforward. We listen, develop the ideas with you, and take care of the practical side so you can enjoy the creative part.

Analysis

We start by getting to know you, your needs and how you use the space. We look at the existing property, its condition and its possibilities, and establish the priorities for the project.

Concept & Design

We turn these ideas into a clear design. Through sketches and plans, we explore layouts, materials and finishes together until the direction feels right.

Planning & Budget

Once the design is defined, we set out the programme, budget, materials and finishes. We keep everything clear and well organised, so you know what to expect as the project moves forward.

Coordination

We coordinate everyone involved, from architects and engineers to builders, craftsmen and suppliers. With one point of contact, we keep the project moving smoothly and on time, making the process easier for you.
